- >>[IMPORTANT NOTE 1] When typing in a new file name, the mouse pointer MUST be touching
- the 'Edit Box' or you can't type anything in. And when you're not Creating a New File,

-
- 4] How To Edit A Level
- !!!!> FIRST OF ALL, YOU MUST LOAD A LEVEL, IN ORDER TO EDIT IT <!!!!
-
- -- To edit a level you use the 'Curser' and the 'Pad Bar' on the right of the screen
- --To control the Curser, use the Arrow Keys on your keyboard.
-
- -- Use the Pad bar to place an object into the play area.
- ╗╗╗╗Here's what the 'icons' on the Pad Bar represent:
- --> 'WALL' - Used to place a Wall in the play area. [In Cubed, Walls are used to
- Stop the Cube]
-
- --> 'BLANK' - Used to 'Erase' an object in the play area. [You can use this to
- 'erase' an object and make it a 'Blank' space.
- --You can also put a Pad over another Pad, for example, if you have a
- 'Colored' Pad but you want a 'Wall' in it's place, just move the Curser
- onto the 'Colored' Pad and then click on the 'Wall' icon]
-
- --> 'START POINT' - Used to place a Start Point in the play area. [In Cubed, a
- Start Point is where the Cube starts. You can only have 1 Start Point in a
- level, if you put more that one in a level, Cubed will Load the 'Start Point'
- that's closest to the bottom of the level. If you don't put a Start Point into
- a level and you 'Activate the Level', Cubed will tell you that there's no
- Start Point and Quit to the Main Menu]
-
- --> 'SCRAMBLER' - Used to place a Scrambler in the play area. [In Cubed, Scramble
- Padz will randomly 'Scramble' the Cube until you flip off the Scramble Pad]
-
- --> '6 COLORED PADZ' - Used to place Padz in the play area. [In Cubed, the Colored
- Padz are what you have to get rid of with the Cube. You have to have at least
- 1 Colored Pad in each level, or Cubed will go to the next level]
-
- --> '4 ARROW PADZ' - Used to place Arrow Padz in the play area. [In Cubed, when
- the Cube lands on an Arrow Pad, it can only move in the direction that the
- arrow is pointing to.
- --Try not to put 2 Arrow Padz pointing into each other, or the Cube will
- get Stuck, and you will have to Reset the level]
-
- --> '6 WARP PADZ' - Used to place Warp Padz in the play area. [There are 3 sets of
- Warp Padz (cyan, green, and red) with the # 1 or 2 on them. Place #1 somewhere
- in the Play area and then #2 (of the same color) in another area and the Cube
- will Warp to and from the Padz when you land on them (in Cubed)]
-
- !!!!> To place an object in the play area, just position the curser in the play area and
- then Click on an 'icon' in the Pad Bar with the left mouse button and the object will
- appear where the Curser's at in the play area. [For example, if you wanted a Wall, move
- the Curser to the position in the play area that you want the Wall at and then Click on
- the Wall icon on the Pad Bar, and a Wall will appear at the curser's position]
-
- -- After you've created the level, Don't forget to Put a Wall at the top of the Level to
- 'ACTIVATE' it. (If you don't put a wall there, 'Cubed' will not load the level,
- and it will go directly to the Completion screen)
-
- -- Once you've done everything, then Click on the SAVE button at the top of the screen
- to Save the level to your File

- 10] Helpful Hints
- --!!!! Remember to put a 'Wall' at the top of the screen to 'ACTIVATE THE LEVEL', if you
- don't, Cubed will think that it's the last level and will go directly to the
- 'Completion Screen' !!!!
-
- -- It's a good idea to make your level(s) and then test them, just in case you made a
- mistake, like placing a Wall in the wrong place, preventing the Cube from
- finishing the level
-
- -- Remember that when 'Typing in a New Filename', the mouse pointer MUST be somewhere
- in the 'Edit Box' or you will not be able to type anything in
-
- -- Remember that you CAN'T Edit a level until you LOAD one first
-
- -- Once you Load a level, you can't load another one unless you Click on the 'New/Clear'
- button or press 'ESC'
-
- ½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗½╗
